Uplay is the default Digital platform for all newer Ubisoft titles. ![]() then you will not be playing co op or multiplayer I'd much rather get the cracked version, and I won't be rewarding a publisher that forces this excrement on its paying customers by being one of them today. Sadly, this means, that, today, I have elected to not purchase Far Cry 4. I will either pirate or not purchase the game. I am impressed with it.Originally posted by General Inaptitude:I have this problem too I do NOT want to make use of Uplay. Its a bit overwhelming and more of a frustration toward a steamuser than a nice bonus.Īnd on a note Farcr圓 is an excellent game. I strongly advise Ubisoft to stop adding Uplay on steam in its current state. Yes i was talking about selling Farcr圓 with uplay on steam. (yesyes basic awnser blame the pirates and stuff). I dont blame the creator for trying to protect there software but to $^%*( ure honest costumers is dumb. Just a warning for u if u are gonna dl a crack (cant hep u with that) ALWAYS use ure virusscanner on it, hell use every virusscanner online on the crack before using it. Let say the creator of the software doesnt want you to do that but doesnt give u the option of giving u a replacement copy (for free or minor fee) when needed (say software or dvd goes corrupt) and finaly it ends up in court, and the buyer of the software can show that he owns the original software and buying a new 1 is unaccepteble, the probability of the judge flipping the finger toward the creator is there.īut off course it al depends on the lawyers and judge and there knowledge of the case and the subject of software, these days.įrom a personal point i can understand u want to play the game offline.Ĭause for me online DRM is more or less a way off a punishment for the persons that legaly bought the software. So in case u own software of like 100000 dollars or euro's, it is reasonble to make a copy of the software and safekeep the original in a secure place, but now u must use a crack to let the software work. (right now i am using the law for cd's, music cd's so maybe its outdated again, (cd s came before dvd's just saying dunno now how old u are), not pure software as on steam, no real physical object, and yes laws are running behind).īut the problem is a back up copy these days wont work withouth a crack. In laws we are running behind.įor instant its illegal to crack the game (bypass the security like DRM) but it is legal to own a back up copy if u own a legal original. Dont forget the digital age of mass copying isnt that old. But its a bit of a grey area in most country's. In europe its illegal (EU) to use cracks i believe.
